2026 · Week 4 · September 27

Tori Takes the Express Elevator

Tori jumps five places, Tom misses perfection by one pick, Spencer reaches the top four, and the best team nobody drafted would like a word with all sixteen owners.

The headline

Four teams. Four useful results. Five places gained.

Tori entered Week 4 in tenth place and left it in fifth. Miami beat Central Michigan 52–3, UNLV beat Akron 38–10, Virginia beat Delaware 42–3, and Purdue lost 49–10 to Notre Dame. In the peculiar economy of this league, that is a perfect roster day: three Standard wins, one Toilet loss, and 55.5 game points.

Miami climbed from No. 6 to No. 4, adding two more. Tori went 7–3 on the ballot—including Florida over Ole Miss—and finished with 64.5 new points, the largest week anyone has posted this season. Her PPG rose from 10.708 to 12.063. The elevator began at ten, ignored floors nine through six, and opened directly inside the top five.

+5 places
Moving day

Spencer reaches fourth. Rob arrives with the whole roster.

Spencer followed his four-place Week 3 climb with two more, moving from sixth to fourth on 50.2 points. Alabama won by 31, Boise State won by 25, and UTEP lost by 26. Boise entered the poll at No. 22, Alabama gained one place, and a 7–3 ballot included both Iowa over Michigan and Cincinnati over Kansas State. Sarah still holds third, but only 0.288 PPG separates them now.

Rob Duane climbed three places, fourteenth to eleventh, with 54.8. Oregon beat USC, Army beat Temple, Arizona beat Washington State, and Colorado lost to Baylor. That is another four-for-four roster, worth 43.8 game points. Oregon's five-place poll recovery and six correct picks completed the rebound. Two weeks after a nine-point retreat to last, Rob has found both the staircase and several people standing on it.

Stan and Matt Dillon each gained one place, to sixth and seventh. The expensive moves belonged to Bryson and Aaron. Bryson fell from fourth to eighth after Ole Miss lost, Ohio won in the Toilet slot, and no ballot arrived. Aaron dropped from fifth to tenth after Penn State's loss erased thirteen poll points. Hayden, Matt Reed, Sarah, Mitch, Robbie, and Rylan held their positions; Tom, Jay, and Mo slipped one each. Week 4 moved ten owners without touching the top three.

Missed opportunities

Florida was available. Florida is now sending invoices.

For the first time, we ran the undrafted board through the same scoring system as the rosters. The result is not emotionally convenient. Florida is 4–0 with 52.3 game points and 18 poll points. Drafted as a Standard team, that would be 70.3 points over four games, or 17.6 PPG—the best individual team in the entire league. Utah leads the drafted Standards at 15.3. Florida was selected by four people to beat Ole Miss this week and by zero people on draft day.

Mississippi State is the next glaring omission at 14.7 projected PPG after moving to 4–0 with a 31–24 win over Missouri. UCLA sits at 13.4, with Pitt and Nebraska at 13.1. All four would clear the drafted Standard median of 9.3 PPG. The draft had 48 Standard selections and still left an undefeated starting lineup in the parking lot.

The Toilet aisle has its own missed masterpiece. Undrafted Bowling Green is 0–4 and would have produced 51.2 points, or 12.8 PPG—better than every drafted Toilet team. Western Kentucky follows at 10.6, while Sacramento State and Ball State sit at 10.1. Hayden's UL Monroe currently leads the drafted plumbing at 12.1. Bowling Green is not merely available; Bowling Green has been doing the job at an executive level without benefits.

Roster receipts

North Texas reaches 63. Notre Dame and Purdue split the same check.

Miami and Jay's North Texas shared the week's biggest drafted Standard payout at 14.9. Miami won by 49; North Texas beat Houston Christian 63–14. Jay also got 12.8 from Georgia's 41–13 win over Oklahoma, but Washington lost and Georgia State won in the Toilet slot. His 7–3 ballot raised the week to 34.7, yet the traffic around him pushed Jay from twelfth to thirteenth.

Notre Dame's 39-point win paid Sarah 13.9, and Purdue's matching 39-point loss paid Tori the same amount. Texas Tech and Sam Houston repeated the arrangement for Matt Dillon at 13.5 on each side of a 49–14 game. Meanwhile, Matt Reed got 11.4 from Utah and 12.1 from Northern Illinois, but Michigan and Kansas State both lost. The week paid his roster 23.5, then the poll took six back.

Hayden's Iowa escaped Michigan 20–19 for 10.1, and UL Monroe's 45–17 loss to FAU added 12.8. BYU and North Dakota State were idle. Four correct picks and a net two poll points made 28.9, enough to keep first and finally create real space: Hayden leads Matt Reed 15.340 to 13.006 PPG. The microscope from Week 3 can be returned to the lab.

Mitch got wins from LSU, SMU, and Toledo, plus seven picks, to hold ninth with 43.4. Mo collected 32.7 behind Ohio State, Clemson, and another 7–3 ballot; he remains the Pick'em leader but slips to fourteenth overall. Robbie's Boston College loss earned 10.7, almost perfectly canceled by Louisville's ten-point poll exit. His final gain was 0.7. Rylan's three active Standard teams all lost, the poll removed nine, and the empty ballot left the week at minus-nine.

The poll bill

Oklahoma State enters through the front. Penn State exits through the floor.

Tom received the week's biggest owner poll boost when Oklahoma State entered at No. 19, worth seven points. The Cowboys' 41–24 win at West Virginia also paid 11.7. Indiana added 10.6 despite slipping one poll place. Illinois lost, UMass won again in the Toilet slot, and the roster itself supplied only two useful games—but Tom had another department ready.

Aaron took the largest hit when Penn State fell from No. 13 out of the rankings, costing thirteen. Robbie lost ten when Louisville disappeared from No. 16; Matt Reed lost eight when Michigan dropped out from No. 18; Rylan lost nine between USC's fall and Texas A&M's exit. Bryson's Ole Miss fell five places. Sunday was less a poll update than a collection agency.

There were refunds. Houston climbed five spots for Sarah, Oregon climbed five for Rob, Boise State entered at No. 22 for Spencer, Iowa gained three for Hayden, and Miami gained two for Tori. Utah, Ohio State, Alabama, and SMU also moved upward. The ranking ledger swung owners by as much as twenty points relative to one another after the last whistle. Saturday provides the evidence; Sunday assigns the damages.

Please Stand Clear of the Doors

Tori Dillon

A league-best 64.5 points and a five-place jump, from tenth to fifth. All four roster slots paid, Miami climbed two poll spots, and Florida appeared on the right side of her ballot. No local stops were requested.

One Smudge from Perfect

Tom Bickart

Nine correct picks out of ten. Florida, Iowa, and Oklahoma State were all minority calls. Cincinnati was the only answer between Tom and a clean sheet.

The One Who Got Away

Undrafted Florida

Four wins, 52.3 game points, 18 poll points, and 17.6 projected PPG as a Standard team. That would lead every drafted team. The waiver wire does not accept apologies.

Employee of the Weak

Tori’s Purdue

A 49–10 loss to Notre Dame paid 13.9 Toilet points, the week’s best losing return. Sarah collected the matching 13.9 on the other side. Plumbing can be a collaborative industry.

The Full-Roster Rebound

Rob Duane

Oregon, Army, and Arizona won; Colorado lost; Oregon climbed five poll spots; and six picks landed. The result was 54.8 points and a move from fourteenth to eleventh.

Sunday’s Largest Invoice

Aaron’s Penn State

A loss to Wisconsin sent Penn State from No. 13 out of the poll, a thirteen-point deduction. Charlotte and South Florida did good work. The poll department shredded the receipt.

The ballot box

Tom goes 9–1 and nearly solves the whole thing.

Tom picked nine winners out of ten, missing only Cincinnati's 31–26 win over Kansas State. He was one of four on Florida over Ole Miss, one of three on Iowa over Michigan, and one of only two—alongside Jay—on Oklahoma State over West Virginia. That is not a safe ballot. It is, however, a very effective one.

Jay, Mitch, Mo, Spencer, and Tori finished 7–3. Spencer hit both Iowa and Cincinnati; Jay hit Cincinnati and Oklahoma State; Tori had Florida; Mitch had Iowa. Stan, Matt Dillon, Rob, and Aaron went 6–4. Matt Reed and Sarah split 5–5, while Hayden went 4–6. Bryson, Robbie, and Rylan had no Week 4 picks recorded.

Mo remains the season leader with 38 correct out of 50. Stan and Matt Dillon are tied at 36, Mitch has 34, and Matt Reed, Spencer, and Rob have 33. Four matchups rewarded every submitted ballot—Texas, Georgia, Utah, and LSU—while Oklahoma State rewarded only two. After three straight weeks with a unanimous upset, the league finally avoided one. Apparently the cure was to provide several smaller ambushes at once.

Texas and Liberty won, but Ole Miss lost by 24 and fell five poll places while Ohio won in the Toilet slot. No ballot was recorded. Fourth becomes eighth in one expensive afternoon.

9Mitch Reed172.6 points · 16 games+43.4 this week · 140.6 game − 2 ranking + 34 picks overall10.8PPG

LSU, SMU, and Toledo won; Stanford did not cooperate by beating Georgia Tech. A 7–3 ballot included Iowa, and 43.4 new points were enough to hold ninth.

10Aaron Reed168.5 points · 16 games+16.5 this week · 144.5 game − 8 ranking + 32 picks overall10.5PPG

Charlotte and South Florida paid 23.5 game points, but Penn State lost and vanished from No. 13. Hawai’i also lost, and six correct picks could not stop a five-place fall to tenth.

11Rob Duane147.2 points · 15 games+54.8 this week · 127.2 game − 13 ranking + 33 picks overall9.8PPG

The full roster finally followed instructions: three Standard wins, a Colorado loss, five Oregon poll points, and six correct picks. A 54.8-point week moves Rob from fourteenth to eleventh.

12Tom Bickart155.6 points · 16 games+37.3 this week · 117.6 game + 7 ranking + 31 picks overall9.7PPG

A league-best 9–1 ballot and Oklahoma State’s seven-point poll entrance rescued a roster with only two useful results. UMass won again. Tom scored 37.3 but slipped one place in heavy traffic.

13Jay Wallace151.5 points · 16 games+34.7 this week · 131.5 game − 8 ranking + 28 picks overall9.5PPG

Georgia and North Texas won by a combined 77 points; Washington lost and Georgia State won in the Toilet slot. A 7–3 ballot included Cincinnati and Oklahoma State. Down one place despite 34.7.

14Mo Reeder146.9 points · 16 games+32.7 this week · 128.9 game − 20 ranking + 38 picks overall9.2PPG

Ohio State and Clemson won, Oklahoma lost, and Arkansas won in the wrong slot. Seven correct picks keep Mo alone atop season Pick’em at 38, but the overall table moves him down one to fourteenth.

15Robbie Baird94.3 points · 16 games+0.7 this week · 96.3 game − 2 ranking + 0 picks overall5.9PPG

Boston College’s seven-point loss paid 10.7, exactly enough to edge Louisville’s ten-point poll disappearance. Memphis was idle, San Diego State lost, and no ballot was recorded. Net gain: 0.7.

16Rylan Reed79.5 points · 16 games−9.0 this week · 101.5 game − 22 ranking + 0 picks overall5.0PPG

Texas A&M, USC, and Rice all lost; Arizona State was idle; the poll removed nine more points; and no picks were recorded. Week 4 ended at minus-nine, with the roster filing no objections.

Tori owns the week, Spencer owns a top-four address, Tom owns a nearly perfect ballot, and Hayden finally owns breathing room. Florida and Bowling Green own nothing except the right to make everybody uncomfortable. Submit the picks, root against the Toilet, and remember: the best available player is only obvious after somebody else scores 70 points.
